Men's Shed Turns 1

YOU ARE INVITED TO THE

    FIRST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS        

FOR THE MEN’S SHED!

When:  On Friday 18th March 2011 we are celebrating our first birthday

Where:  At the Men’s Shed, 24 Marcia Street Coffs Harbour

Time:  Come along at noon, enjoy a BBQ lunch and have a look at the Shed and its activities.   

           There will be plenty to do and see.

It’s a bit over a year since The Coffs Harbour Men’s Shed was officially opened.
In that time we have consolidated the acquisition of our floor equipment, hand tools and stock. At last we have completed our electrical installations. The generosity of the business and general community has been overwhelming. We have been well supported by service clubs and the like. Our registered participants now number over 170 and our mentor strength is over 15.  We have a very busy and productive Shed.  Our profile in the community has been raised by creating awareness of the Shed’s activities through presentations that highlight the improvement in the well being and mental health of many of our participants.

We cater for all men in the Coffs community especially men who are isolated, lonely, depressed or unemployed. We also support community support service groups by including their clients in our activities.
