CHESS employment and support service is a public benevolent institution (PBI), commonly known as a charity. A PBI is a non profit organisation that provides services for the direct relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, disability or helplessness. CHESS assists unemployed people in situations of helplessness to become more self-reliant during periods of unemployment, and develop their capacities for obtaining employment.

CHESS is a non profit organisation and puts significant funds towards running projects that empower disadvantaged people from the community.

Donate to support our community projects

CHESS operates two community projects that do not receive any government funding and are in urgent need of donations to continue their good work. The projects you can donate to are:

Coffs Harbour Men’s Shed

Community Bike Recycling Scheme

All donations are tax deductable.
